Formed in 1968, Nazareth rose from playing the pubs, clubs and dance halls of their native Scotland to become one of the most successful rock bands in the world, notching up a string of hit records along the way.

Songs like ‘Broken Down Angel’, ‘Bad Bad Boy’, ‘Turn On Your Receiver’ and ‘My White Bicycle’ all made their mark on the world charts, alongside the mega hits ‘Dream On’, ‘This Flight Tonight’, ‘Hair Of The Dog’ and the one and only ‘Love Hurts’.

Hard working, sincere and unaffected by the vagaries of fashion, this band of the people not only gained a massive following of loyal fans but has influenced many great artists, with Nazareth songs being covered by some of the biggest names in rock.

Half a century later, and having sold in excess of 20 million albums around the globe, Nazareth recently released their 24th studio album, Tattooed On My Brain, earning them some of the best reviews of their entire career prompting Classic Rock magazine to say “Nazareth have come up with their best album in years. They’ve developed a sound that’s fresh, showing that modern Nazareth has a real purpose”

Corroded is a heavy metalband from Ånge, Sweden. The band is best known for their song Time And Again, which was the theme song for the Swedish 2009 Survivortelevision series on TV4. The band's second album Exit to Transfer, released in October 2010 by Ninetone Records, reached number 6 on the Swedish national record chart Sverige topplistan. In 2013 Corroded played a European tour, supporting the Australian band Airbourne. Corroded are musically inspired by Black Sabbath and Machine Head.

GET READY FOR THE ELECTRIFYING SOUND OF VELVETEEN QUEEN

Velveteen Queen, a new Swedish rock band who released their first critically acclaimed single "Take me Higher" on October 18th. Now single number two "Barrel of a gun" is released, which is available from November 29. Both songs will be featured on the band's upcoming debut album, due out in March 2024. Influenced by iconic bands such as Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith and Velvet Revolver, Velveteen Queen's classic rock anthem takes you back to the golden era of rock 'n' roll.

The melodic metal band MILE has a modern sound that blends heavy metal with hard rock, combining powerful riffs with catchy melodies. In 2015, they released their debut album 'Lost', which streamed over a million times in its first year. The follow-up, 'The World In Focus', was released in 2018 and included the popular single 'Crying in Your Sleep', which made its way onto several major playlists. The second album was followed by a release tour in Brazil and a Swedish festival summer.

The band is known for its dominant stage presence and has an energy that rarely leaves the audience unaffected. Over the years, MILE has performed at festivals alongside giants such as Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper, Sabaton, Hammerfall, and Europe. They have also opened for acts like Smash into Pieces, Chyra, and Dynazty.

MILE ended their 2023 by signing with Fifth Island Music/Gain and is now gearing up for an exciting year filled with new releases. Together with the record label, the band will release their fourth album during the year and is looking forward to hitting the stages again!

SUN created a genre she calls « Brutal Pop » : a blend of mainstream Pop and Rock Metal. Catchy toplines, colorful visuals, feral screams and double pedal drums, her Brutal Pop could be the hidden child of St Vincent and Gojira. Her name is an hommage to her father. He died on the eve of her 6th birthday and a sunflower decorated his grave. One day she discovered the grave had disappeared, so she chose the name SUN to remember him and keep him alive. Her songs express the violence of great emotions: true love, joy, grief. SUN brings a message of hope, courage and love ; life is worth living even in the toughest moments. In September 2021 SUN is awarded the FAIR Prize, the most important French prize for modern Music. She is managed in the US by Vicky Hamilton (Guns N’ Roses), and endorsed by Fender. SUN collaborated on her second EP with Andrew Scheps, whose work with Adèle, Beyoncé, Metallica or RHCP earned him 3 Grammy Awards. She debuted on the big screen in 2021 in a leading role in the feature film « Tom Medina » by Tony Gatlif, selected at Cannes Film Festival 2021. In the movie she acts, sings her own songs and plays her sparkly Telecaster. She also wrote five tracks of the soundtrack. SUN has performed in festivals as The Great Escape (UK), Trans Musicales (France), MaMA (Paris), Tokyo Beyond (Japan), Focus Wales, Future Echoes (Sweden), Wave (Austria), MMVV (Spain), MIL (Portugal), Spike (Bulgaria). In 2022 she toured in Japan, Laos and Europe.

Where and When

The festival takes place at Åbytravet in Mölndal on July 13th, from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Transportation

The regular bus line 753 runs from Heden, passing through Vasaplatsen, to Åbytravet (stop: Åby Arenastad). From there, it's a 410-meter walk. Bus 25, towards Fässbergsgymnasiet, is also an option. Bus 751 (Frölunda Torg-Mölndal-Mölnlycke) stops at the Stallbacken station. From there, it's an 8-minute walk to the main entrance. Åbytravet also offers a large parking lot with 2000 spaces for those who prefer to drive.
